Everyone’s efforts raised a fabulous £350 for the Africa Educational Trust.
Well done!

A Musical Week at Meridian

Meridian certainly does have talent— Jo was incredibly proud of all the wealth and breadth of talent on show this week at our first open air rooftop show and the Annual Charity Concert.

Amongst the performances, it was lovely to see the results of children’s weekly piano, flute and band lessons and the progress children have made at weekly singing assemblies.

Y4 and Y5 children have weekly music sessions led by visiting tutors John, Joe & Tiago. They have been perfecting their drumming, clarinet and trumpeting skills over the last year and to-gether with our flautists, taught by Hayley, and the school band they showed off all they have learnt to their school friends and families in the afternoon.

This was followed by our evening Charity Concert where children sang, danced, acted and played a range of musical instruments to delight the assembled crowd. Thanks to all the performers who overcame their nerves to entertain us; to everyone involved in putting together the concert, especially Rianka; and to the audience members for their appreciation and generosity.
