Food in School
We are proud to work with Chartwells Schools for your children’s school dinners. Chartwells believe that the key to fuelling young minds comes from understanding both what they need and what they enjoy, which is why they develop nutritious and delicious food that pupils love, whilst helping to ensure a healthy body and mind.
If your child has a food allergy or intolerance and you would like to discuss this, please contact Chartwells medical diet nutrition team via this email address:
Parents/carers can choose between a cooked meal or packed lunch at the start of each term.
Our cook, Donna and her team use fresh ingredients to prepare a range of healthy meals (including vegetarian option) which many children and staff are now enjoying on a daily basis. A weekly menu is displayed in the bottom hall.
All lunches should be placed in the named storage boxes in the bottom hall. Please ensure that your child’s lunch is clearly marked with their name and class. A biscuit or cereal bar can be part of the packed lunch but children are not allowed to bring in fizzy drinks, sweets or nuts.
Fruit in School
The Government currently provides one piece of fruit each day for all infant children. This is offered to the children at morning break. Junior children may bring a piece of fruit for morning break.
Milk is provided free of charge to all children under the age of 5.
Water is available in classrooms throughout the school day and during lunch.
Fizzy drinks are not allowed. Please do not send in glass or metal cans, as these can be dangerous.
