Ahoy there!

Along with her Headteacher colleagues, Jo took part in the Meridian Pull on Sunday 17th September. As part of ‘Headteacher Team A’, Jo rowed on the River Thames taking over just 1 hr and 11 minutes to complete the 8.5 mile journey from Westminster to Deptford. The Heads raised money for the Ahoy Centre, a local charity working with young people and disabled people in London. Thank you to everyone for their support - Jo raised £1,000 for the Ahoy Centre.

A group of Y5 & Y6 Meridian children then got the opportunity to visit the Centre and learnt to sail. Well done to our sailors who achieved their RYA (Royal Yachting Association Stage 1 Sailing qualification.

Pulling out all the Spots for Pudsey

We raised £377 for Children in Need 2017!

Curriculum Open Mornings

It was great to see so many parents and carers at November's “open” sessions. Children really enjoyed showing all they had learnt throughout the “Time
Detectives“ whole school topic.

Our family and friends across the school were taken on a journey from pre-historic times, through the Stone Age to Ancient Greece and Egypt.

The interactive experience included quizzes, science experiments, maths challenges, code breaking, cave art drawing, den, shelter and pyramid building and writing in hieroglyphics to name but a few.

Enterprise Week 2017

Our entrepreneurial spirit was
definitely out in force in early December as the sales teams from each class drummed up business and saw their products flying off the shelves. Whether you bought Christmas decorations, notebooks, bracelets, playdough, magnets, shortbread or any of the other sweet treats on offer, thank you for all your custom. You helped us beat last year’s Enterprise total.

Congratulations to Year 5 who were the most enterprising with an incredible total profit of £276.50 from their Senstationery Stall.
